Better Bikes Pty Ltd
605 Canterbury Rd
Belmore NSW.

Does anyone know this mob? Have you done any dealings with them?
Are they trustworthy or "The Dodgy Brothers" with a new name?????
Not having an issue with them, but don't feel like driving 600Ks to find they are rouges and drive home with a gutted feeling from the experience.

Am looking at a Rocket 3 they've got for sale. Bike looks good (not actually my choice of colour, but could live with it) and price seems too good by bike shop prices, which is making my sphincter twitch.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2007-Triumph-Rocket-III-/280728901205?pt=AU_Motorcycles&hash=item415cbf1655

Let me know to go.
Cheers.

I like em. My bonnie came from there. Traded Triumph TT600 for $5,000 and ended up paying $4,000 for Bonnie. Only paid $4,000 for TT lol

Not sure if same owners now as was awhile ago, but pretty sure it is.

So getting the mrs a Rocket now ! Smile

Just googled them http://www.betterbikes.com.au/our-crew.html & it is still same guy. I dealt with Roland

"For nearly two decades Better Bikes has been run by the original owner. Our team takes pride in providing professional service with a smile."

If that is Candy red colour I have to say i like it.

Hey mate, I bought a bike from them about 10 years ago and found them excellent and all their stock was first class, I would suggest that it would be well worth the trip...Cheers

Thanks Admin.
Yep, that's the bike I'm lookin at. Like the way it's had the struts and other stuff blacked out.
Am debating weather I'd take it further and do the same with the forks, shocks, headlights and bars as well, but then it's probably too close to being a Roadster eh.

Yes Jimp. Am growing the sidies back as we speak. Haven't shaved (well, that bit anyway) since coming home from Port 6 weeks ago.
Just waiting for the next full moon. Lol
Not looking at a trade in and hoping to haggle a better price for no reg and cash.

Sending Robyn out on the Tbird Sport this weekend to do a few short runs. If she feels comfortable with it with the lower seat then I'm getting a Rocket.
If she doesn't then it's back to finding a Bonnie or something smaller for her. Don't really want to part with the Tbird. One of the best bikes I have ever ridden TBH.

Thanks Elvis. Missed your post. Must have done it while I was doing my 1 finger touch typing. Lol.

Well, all good reports on the company. That's reassuring. Now just need(after I get the nod from the boss) to haggle a good deal.

Cheers.

hey cobba, i know its a fair bit further but in gosford ric andrews has one that has only done very few kms(i think 1700 kms) and is like new
bloke sold it back to the dealer because he hurt his back and i think its going cheap,
any way worth a ring if your looking for one.

Thanks Verg. Looked at his website but couldn't find a secondhand Rocket.
Maybe hasn't listed it yet, or it was a real bargain and gone already.

Will have to wait for the weekend to pass and see how Robyn feels about keeping the Tbird for herself. Could always sell it as well I spose, but it's just too gooder bike to let get away.

I don't usually become attached to machinery but I have with this one.

I live nearby to Better Bikes.
A bloke from work was looking to buy a really nice scooter from them.
I went to look at the Scoot - got talking to the guys.
I found them to be quite genuine.
They seem to get good quality second hand bikes, tweak them to showroom and flog them.
I'll go and have a look today if you like?

Cheers Dave.
I sent an enquiry yesterday asking their best price, no rego or warranty.
You can ask again in person for me if you like.
I figure that a warranty on a small problem isn't worth going all the way back to Sydney to get fixed, and I'd like to think that if there's a bigger issue then I'll know about it before the cash gets splashed.

Thanks. Cobba.

Gotta say, all feedback on this mob has been a positive and I've decided to go the yards and see if I can sort a good deal on this bike.

Have even made an extra long shot and see what I can do as a group buy/ part trade.

Haven't approached them yet with my plan (keep it under your hat. It's only between you and me for the moment) but am going to sell the Thunderbird Sport as well and buy 2 new (to me) bikes.

Got $5k, gunna borrow 10 and sell the Tbird for 8+ (I hope). Hopefully 23 will get me these 2 beauties.

Can always live in hope.

If the Bonnie doesn't come thru then the next best option is this.

Would post pics now but am having probs and am sure Admin will fill in the blanks.

Cheers.
