I've been cleaning out the shed and found my old bags and panniers. They were last used in the mid 80's.
The panniers come with square mounting backets and 80's rally stickers. They do have several mounting holes so a bit of bog/fibreglass would make them watertight.
The saddlebags have a tear on one side (shown in pic) but could be repaired.
They're free to whoever wants to come and get them. I'm at home the next couple of days (Bowen Mountain) or I could take them into work at Winza on Wednesday.

Oh dear,
I hoped that question wouldn't be asked.
I'll come clean, I'm gunna stuff up my Street Triple R, or at least play about at stuffing it up. What I miss about my T100 is the ability to actually carry things like wet weather gear etc. The Street Triple is fully loaded once you have a mobile phone on board.
I have a plan for trick custom alloy panniers with a welding shop but he's dragging his feet with the quote and when Pete offered his oldies last night I figured that I had nothing to lose, so I'm off to the garage to scratch my head soon. |

The concept that I have with the alloy welding bloke is for a set mounted forward of my knees next to the motor, parallelogram shaped and smaller than the glass bags that I picked up today. I'm sure he is dragging his feet getting the quote to me because he figures that I won't pay what he probably wants to make them. 
I've been looking at a conventional sort of mount up for Petes old bags and so far I'm happy with what I'm seeing in my mind. It's not going to happen over knight but I will post up the progress. I mounted a set on my old T100 (photo) and know that when they are mounted as low and far forward as possible combined with having them very rigid the handling isn't affected too much. The T100 was restricted because I wanted to keep the pillion pegs, this job will probably be very much forward.
