as Ive fitted a 3 into 1 system to illiminate the pipe between my 2000 Thunderbird & the DJP sidecar(pictured).
Its a tad loud for the poor soul in the chair & the 3 into 1 rectifies this. |
So when you gonna start a post showing outfit with the 3 into 1's fitted, and any difficulties you may have encountered?
Saw the question on ad . Remember I do have a spare set of headers if someone with a 2 into 1 wants them. Sure can work something out _________________ www.ratscafe.org

3 into 1 Fitting Issues:
No issues fitting 3 into 1's, apart from minor issue with 2 pillion peg locating dowels onto frame. No issue, no movement, nice n tight.
Description of 3 into 1:
Its actually a lot quieter than what all the posts in Triumphrat & others say about the thunderbikes.
(maybe Im deaf after years of my T140v with straight thru drag pipes!!!). I wear a skull cap aswell!!! The missus said it was still about the same.
I expected it to be ridiculously loud in comparison with the staintunes, but probably the same- but sportier growl....almost gsxrish...........nice
Jetting 3 into 1's:
Havent rejetted, but might consider a whisker of a turn out more on the mixture/pilot screws(richer) when I service/tune her after new year.
Pics of 3 into 1:
Have'nt got pics yet churchy.........this time of year is so busy. Im not really all that camera happy either.
Test ride 3 into 1's:
I put em on, triple checked all torques, let it idle for about 10 minutes & threw the daughter in the chair & fanged out to Spencer.
Had a coupla beers whilst the daughter fed the ducks & fish & then fanged home.
Spencer is still a good 25kms from my place, approx 50km return.
But 50km of isle of man kinda stuff I do respect the actual townships(Gunderman etc) & slow to 70 in the 60 zones though. |

Yeah Benny, I really wish we could close the road from Spencer to the Ferry for a weekend.
Hay bale the houses & powerpoles & have a Isle of Gunderman
Heaps of awesome grassed high spots on great bends for all to watch.......
Mobile bar @ the ferry & Gunderman.
Proper first aid & ambulance stations.
Different classes: modern, classic, vintage, sidecar, trike.........
Just a dream
Might have to go to NZ for the street racing one day.
People bbq-ing in their front yards watching the bikes roar past........JEEZE IM GETTING A HARD ON!!!!
Used to have a street race @ Collie in West Oz for years, but it got shut down.
Mostly rural, but went down the main drag of shops etc, all classes of bikes.
Pretty sure it was the last in OZ. |

What I don't get is there are some kickarse roads in the north of Tas - would never match the IOMTT but something in the southern hemisphere would surely take off.
No wait my bad - the government wouldn't allow it, they couldn't hold our hands and protect us from ourselves. _________________ Carl
