Always liked the Centennial model. Guy has certainly been busy with mods
"904 Wisco bigbore kit (Done at 25000km's), Port matched/Polished head, Street fighter clutch, Staintune pipes, 1"Drag bars, Tubular oil cooler, Keihen 39mm flat slide carbs, Thruxton seat and tail peice(Painted same as tank), Modified airbox with Norman Hyde bellmouth on inlet to airbox & K&N air filter, Shortened indicators, Shortened front & rear guards, 1/4 fairing(painted same orange as tank)"
Wonder what the reserve is ?
There was another Centennial advertised with less than 30km on it a while ago. No mods, but did appeal to me

Was talking to a salesman at Peter Stevens yesterday seeing what they'd give me as a trade on the RS.
They've got a Centenary there with low Ks for 11 on road.
That's less than others are asking for them privately. |

asking maybe. But there not getting 11k Cobba
I have followed a lot of them when they come up and they reach no higher than 10. And thats the good ones like the less than 30km on clock Centennial. http://musicswap.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?p=1295 This one actually had a "Buy it now" price of $10,500 ! & reached only $10,100 but was below reserve
Most go for around $8500 or $9000 _________________ www.ratscafe.org

Here is a nice one Cobba. Scrambler, rather than standard Bon. But I bet it only gets one bid (if any) at the last minute.

Quote: | Triumph 900 Scrambler 2006 Model in the rare Green and Silver. It has only travelled 16,100klm's, goes as well as new and is a great ride. It comes with crash bars, Triumph aftermarkiet mufflers and has had the carbys tuned and jetted to the new mufflers. As well as a great mellow sound this also gives you more horse power. It also comes with a new Triumph Jacket, Triumph single seat with chrome luggage rack and Triumph Tank cover. I will add pictures of these items tomorrow. The bike is in the sort of condition you would expect for a well ket one with a low 16,100klms on the speedo. $500 deposit within 2 days of auction end and full payment within 5 days of auction end. Freight by Bikes-Only to Sydney $190.00, Melbourne $290.00 and Adeliade $360.00 |

Anniversary model
Have a feeling I know the owner of this one, and can say now most were not snapped up straight away. Bikebiz only just sold one.
Love to know whether reserve is realistic, as these do sell for over 11K
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180723821875&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:AU:1123
This is a very rare 2008 Triumph Bonneville 50th Anniversary Limited Edition motorcycle.
The brass plate on the handlebar clamp bearing the number 264 and the certificate of authenticity signed by John Bloor, the owner of Triumph Motorcycles, proves that this is the 264th motorcycle built out of only 650 manufactured by Triumph for worldwide distribution to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the first 650cc motorcycle to bear the Bonneville name back in 1959. Less than 50 of these motorcycles were imported into Australia, most being snapped up before the general public had any opportunity to buy them.
The paint scheme includes hand-painted pin-striping bearing the artist's initials to mimic the 'Tangerine Dream' design of the original 1959 launch model.
The side panels bear 50th Anniversary logos. The cam covers are chromed. The silencers are Triumph after-market exhaust pipes.
The seat provides ample space and comfort to carry a pillion passenger and has been designed with white piping and a gold Triumph logo to mimic the 1959 model.
This motorcycle is in immaculate condition, having travelled less than 5000 Km, and has a full Triumph service history. It has never been ridden in wet conditions and has always been kept under cover.
The motorcycle is registered till May 2012 (Safety Certificate will be supplied to buyers from QLD) and comes with the Owner's Handbook, Service Handbook and two sets of keys.
Very happy to assist with delivery at buyer's expense.
2 days left for Centenary Cobba
Have it in my watch list, and so far no bids
But he has added "I have reduced reserve on this as need to sell."
With "Buy it now" $10,250.00
Edited later
Centennial Ended with no bids
Anniversary sold for $13,799
I prefer the Centennial model's personally, but they dont reach nowhere near the same price? Reckon that will change in the long term _________________ http://www.ratscafe.org

I reckon its awesome too Cobba, and could re coup some of money by selling tank cover, triumph jacket and single seat! If never wanted that is. _________________ http://www.ratscafe.org

my Triumph 1997 Dual Purpose Tiger
in limited edition British Racing Green
Registered until Jan 2012.
This bike is in excellent condition, has never been dropped.
Serviced regularly every 5,000 kms.
It has a near new rear tyre and the front tyre is approx 50%.
It is priced to sell as I have since bought a new road bike
and no longer ride this one.
Too nice a bike to waste just sitting in the shed.
It has always been kept garaged & out of the weather.
Being a dual purpose it is handy for everyday transport
to commute to & from work
then on weekends an excellent bike for travelling.
Comes with a lockable top box to carry your gear.
I also have this bike advertised elsewhere for $5,000.
If you have any further questions please email
or phone me on either 02 64938277 AH
0424229218 BH & ask for Jesse. |
Seems like a very good buy to me
