http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRIUMPH-1970-BONNEVILLE-COMPLETELY-RESTORED-/130577865612?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item1e670c1b8c

Came across this by accident and it is in the States. But just take a look of the pictures! What a high quality restoration!!

Quote:
TRIUMPH 1970 BONNEVILLE
This is a 70, Triumph Bonneville with matching numbers that was restored 611 break-in miles ago. This bike runs and looks excellent. The pictures should speak for themselves. The paint was done by Blake as advertised out of JRC Engineering. The head an upper end was done by Mike Jongblood, a local legend, and the assembly was done by Tim at British Parts. The entire bike has been powder-coated, except for the front frame section, which was in nice original condition. The oil tank and the tool box have been painted. It has stainless spokes, and all original nuts and bolts have been cad-plated. This bike is original right down to the Lucas head light and tail light lens. The instruments have been restored by Nossinger, and over all, the bike is a very good example of a restored Bonneville. The Trans has been gone through, and every part was replaced as required. This Bonneville has a clear California title. All OEM parts were used with the exception of the wiring harness and tires, which are reproductions. All chrome parts were redone, and the front forks were completely rebuilt with new seals and fork tubes.

If this was in Australia Deb. The price tag would be double!

Mind you, not the same story with the modern Thunderbirds Rolling Eyes

" Triumph thunderbird 900 2000 6 speed spotless condition $6,950.00"

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/triumph-thunderbird-900-2000-6-speed-spotless-condition-/260860672915?pt=AU_Motorcycles&hash=item3cbc81fb93

Cant see my T/bird making sort of profit I was hoping for, to use on the purchase of a vintage bike, particularly with dented tank!

This T/bird above did not sell and was relisted as $6,700 Buy it now or make offer. Still took 8 days to sell, and its spotless!
And did He even get $6700?

I have to say, I like the Bonnie better.

Yes, it is a shame about that tank. Worth getting fixed?

Will look into cost of fixing tank. But prices at the moment make it not worth thinking about selling just yet TBH

Anyway I do wanna have a bit of fun with it first.

Looks like I am converting your taste deb Smile That Bon is same year model as one we were looking at in Windsor BTW

The last of the pre Oil in frame models. Def one on my wish list Very Happy

I am definitely converted as, if I ever got my motorbike licence this bike would suit my shortarse legs better than a speedmaster, which I still love as Mikey has one but would never be able to ride without serious platform shoes!!!!

Give me one in purple, pink or that sapphire blue (like J.D's) and I am completely converted! Wink Wink Wink

OK totally different sort of bike being a speed triple, but could not help thinking Deb's may like this.
Apparently it is an original limited edition colour from Triumph! (Pearly Pink)
