Has anybody had any dealings with Procycles in Hornsby and St Peters?
I have been trawling the internet looking for a bargain or 2 for my accessories wish list for the new baby.
Was originally looking for a fly screen but kept holding off buying anything as the going price was $427 plus another $89 for the mount kit, then postage. About $525 by the time I got it.
Also noticed on a site when I was looking around someone had what they called a Sports Screen, which is basically the same as the Fly Screen except made from perspex, but it was also $417 and still needed the fitting kit also.
Anyway, when I got into looking at Procycles site I found the Sports Screen for $218. Bargain I thought, so I grabbed it, along with a 140C.I. oil tank embellisher for $37 and some saddle bag inners at $60, so I grabbed 2 of them as well.
Called them up the next day to see what I had to do to get the Mounting kit for the screen. He found my order and we sorted that out for $75 included with the rest of the stuff.
Got a call back again that arvo from Sonia in the office asking did I really want 2 sets of Saddlebag inners as they come as piars.
No I didn't, and thanks for following up on that (most places wouldn't).
She then turned around and changed the sale and gave me the mount kit that I'd ordered that morning for $75 to me for the $60 I'd already paid for the inners.
And all that delivered to my door for $10 postage.
I reckon I saved about $250 on other shops prices. Even some of the overseas retailers like Jack Lilley were dearer than their prices.
I was pleasantly surprised.
The order hasn't arrived yet cos most of it was coming from the UK, but from the assistance I got then I don't expect to have any issues.
Cheers. |

Cobba,
I bought Rosie out of the Hornsby shop.
Sales team were - a sales team, nuff said.
After sales - clothing, etc. were very good. Saved a few bob.
I but have not been back for service work - have been going to
St Peters whilst Rosie under warranty. Service team come across nicely
but I do question their efficiency.
A few mates took their BMW's there and - will not be returning.
For accessories, typical of Authorised Dealerships, OEM parts usually expensive.
Sales items - bargains can be found.
Overall - I get the vibe they are more BMW oriented.
As they are big you might not mean as much to them?
Your experience thus far seems a good one. Lifts their average.
Now Rosie is out of warranty, I'll be looking around for other mechanics
when I need one.
Though the St Peters shop is easiest for me to get to.
Fair play states - keep giving them a go till either they piss you off
or you hear enough bad about them to give them a miss. _________________ Cheersh,

I have seen St Peters Procycles workshop cop a bagging on the Triumph Rat Forum.
Sonia at Hornsby is pleasant, helpful and good to deal with for spares and accessories and so are Dom and Alex. Things have improved since Julie left and everyone seems happier. The shop is starting to look like it has some stock in it and prices are reasonable and I have started going back there instead of travelling the miles to BikeBiz, etc.
I bought the Daytona from Hornsby and the sales guys were pleasant, not pushy. One small gripe, it still had the chalk inspections marks on it that could have taken 2 minutes to get rid of. A small point I know. I will take it to Anthony (the owner) as long as it is treated nicely.
I have been to Northside at Artarmon a few times and found them to be good for service although it is a bit of a hassle to get there. They also did the Big Bore Kit and head work on the Thruxton and I have been happy with it. They even picked it up in their ute for $0 one day when I thought I had a leaking head.....it wasn't.
Another workshop to look at is Moto Hansa at Rydalmere. They are working on Triumphs now. Some of the original guys from Hornsby moved there. _________________ Are you suffering from a chemical imbalance or is it just an attitude problem? |

Well if Sonia and Dom are both at the Hornsby shop then that's where I was dealing with.
Will let you know when I get it all.
Cheers. |

Got my stuff in from them today.
Sonia called last Friday to say my goods had arrived there and would be getting posted on Monday (I think she wants me ).
Got an Email a few hours later saying the same thing.
Got another Email with a tracking number yesterday saying it had been dispatched.
Turned up on my doorstep at 9am today.
Almost too much contact, but better than not knowing at all.
Spose that's the way everyone is doing it these days with self generated Emails and tracking info. makes for good business I reckon.
Haven't opened any of the boxes as they are going to get wrapped and stuck under the chrissy tree for me. They are all Triumph factory accessories so if there's any probs it's nothing to do with Procycles side of it anyway.
Love buying my own pressies. Gauranteed to get what you really want that way. |

I have started buying bits from Hornsby again after a bad exsperience a long time ago.
The store does seem to have a nicer feel to it. It saves a long trip down to Granville. _________________ Journey in Life, is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting '..holy sh*t ....what a ride!'

Took the Daytona for its first service today. Dropped it in at 08:15 and was back on it by 11:00. Anthony was pretty good to deal with and no issues.
Also now getting more bits and pieces from Alex, Dom and Sonia in spares. Everyone is quite helpful and easy to deal with, willing to chase things up. A nice change. _________________ Are you suffering from a chemical imbalance or is it just an attitude problem? |
