I know this isnt the right section really for this , sorry dave ive stuck it in the wrong section
Im wanting to buy old leatherworking tools , especially Tandy branded Craftool stamps , alphabet or number sets , perhaps you might know someone who did it years ago and have some tools lying around in their shed ?
regrettably i sold my collection years ago and now im finding it hard to replace them

As can see I's now been moved to correct section, Pete. But is there a lot of difference between old leather tools and new ones. I actually have a leather carving kit (modern) that I bought about 2 years ago because it was on special cheap. Only time I ever used it was on wood lol and actually was ok tho was a soft wood.
So what makes the old stuff better? _________________ www.ratscafe.org

im really looking for an undercut beveller , makes carving the shapes so much easier , they dont make that size anymore , so im trying to hunt some down its about 4mm wide the old one ,the new ones are 2mm wide , also the quality of the tools was better 25 years ago
The tools im looking for is to carve leather mainly
cheers Dave thanks for moving it , i should wear my glasses more eh _________________ 2005 Triumph rocket 3 DEEV8

Will try to find ones I bought and see whether anything looks like it may be what your after. (No idea what an undercut beveler is lol)
But another suggestion is to try Blacktown markets. There held every Sunday at the Drive-in, off Reservoir road. Heaps of second hand tools available there at good prices. _________________ www.ratscafe.org
