Though my last trip there was not a pleasant experience (loss of my rat). They did very generously contribute a $100 gift voucher to the rat-s competition.

And have been swayed to add them back on to my list of dealers. _________________ www.ratscafe.org

Get what parts i cant get from;
Ebay, MCA or Liverpool Bike wreckers at the dealer.
All comes down to price of parts, Availability/urgency- aftermarket or Triumph factory.
Ring around & do math, Global stuff on ebay is cheaper, but if there's an issue you cant take it back. I know from experience
Shipping generally can kill any saving.
Dealer is more expensive, but for some reason (not complaining), I occassionally get trade price on stuff without asking.
For the womans 2001 Bonneville. Recently ordered fork springs, o rings & steering head/stem bearings there.
Wasnt too expensive.
Wanted stock triumph springs, not progressive (same price).
140,000kms on original springs & oil & only diving excessive now, why change? No fork leaks either, good seals on the bonnie forks. |

Well I ordered my bits needed for rear brakes from Team Moto over the phone. Guy answering as Brian, took my number and said will call back when organised, and did.
Next day (today) got a text that parts were in.
Have to say I was impressed, and the general atmosphere seemed a lot more friendly than when I went before. _________________ http://www.ratscafe.org

So the new owner of liverpool bikewreckers still in the same place? Dealing Triumph bits?
Will have to check it out, the son had a tbird rear wheel tucked away for me, $150 with brake rotor .
You didnt hand out refreshments whilst everyone else worked on your bike did you? Thats your woman theyre playing with........
Quite happy to loan tools & advice. To assist in spannering.
Did you/they need an stud extractor or did the caliper pin free with the drilling? |

Needed new chain and Sprockets for ELizabeths Bike (Kawasaki GPX250).
Phone MCA - not in stock (and may be doing an order in a week or so...) - Thanks but no thanks!
Looked online - much more expensive (and shipping to be added).
Rang TM Wed - havn't got them in Stock - but can have them by Friday - and price was good (better than MCA).
Just got a text from them saying parts are now in - perfect!

I was after another seat cowl for the Bonnie Thruxton. After looking all over the net at various fibreglass knockoffs I thought "stuffit" and rang Team Moto at Blacktown and ordered one. 190 odd dollars, but what can you do when you want the right part?
About 10 minutes later Brian from Team Moto called me back and said - "pete, ya lucky I'm honest - Triumph have a special on the cowls and they're only $30 each". I said bloody bewdy, get me two!
He could have said nothing, just charged me the agreed 190 odd dollars and made a real tidy profit. But he didn't. Big brownie points in Pete's book.
A while later I was scouring the net looking for a chrome engine cover kit to finish of the T100 vibe of the bike. They seemed to be about $450 to $490 from all over the globe especially when you factored in freight. On a hunch I called Team Moto, got a hold of Brian and asked him how much a kit would cost. Only $290 from them!!!
I think we all forget these days that it does pay to check the local prices before clicking on the "buy it now" doova on the computer screen. _________________ "Roll me in honey and throw me to the lesbians"

They have been really good here also. They donated a $100 gift voucher for the guessing competition. A leather jacket and something else i think for Port Rally and recently a helmet for the treasure hunt!
And again when I used them, I got not only a call to say part was in. But again a text message. _________________ www.ratscafe.org
